Event: PRESENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS BY CITIZEN GROUPS, TO SHAPE QUARTERLY CITIZENS ENGAGEMENT BY MDAs

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in furtherance of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, directed all Ministers to convene quarterly stakeholder and citizens’ engagements. This initiative is central to building public trust, enhancing government accountability, and ensuring inclusive governance through active citizen participation.

In recognition of this notable commitment by the government and as part of the mid-year appraisal of the administration, a coalition of citizen groups and civil society organizations under the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Nigeria has reviewed the existing engagement structure and processes and come up with a set of recommendations for improvement.  It is our expectation that these recommendations will help to improve the design, delivery, and impact of the quarterly engagement meetings with MDAs and the ministerial press briefings.

This meeting is to present the collated recommendations to the Government.
